Kitchen Renovation for Six
A Coastal Kitchen Renovation for Six in Central Iowa
These homeowners were seeking serenity in this updated kitchen renovation. They had already completed a remodel on their second floor and were extremely confident in how the main floor would look, flow, and feel.
Before the remodel, a wall separated the kitchen from a small, private dining room. We removed this to open up the space, and it was worth it! Lots of light fills the space from the overhead elements and the windows on the exterior wall. Using light green as the wall color absorbs and reflects all of this light beautifully, which only adds to the beachy vibes in here. White-painted cabinets and marble-style quartz countertops contrast with the warm maple floors.
Space was necessary for this family with four kids. You can see ample seating space at the dining room table and along the elongated kitchen island. There is plenty of counter and sitting space for the whole family and more! We also added much-needed storage components, including under the window seat, shelving units, cupboards, and the kitchen island. We were also able to tuck a small mudroom space in just off the kitchen.
