Our Team

Combining Perspectives of a Male & Female Residential Contractor Duo

Our team at Grand Homes & Renovations offers a personal approach where you’ll work directly with the owners, Carrie and David. They’re involved in every project throughout the entire build process, starting with the very first conversation discussing your home needs. Through our hands-on approach, clients become friends, and we take pride in the projects we’ve built together.

Carrie and David have been building and remodeling homes together since starting Grand Homes & Renovations in 2007. We believe that our team offers a unique design perspective with our male and female contracting duo. We understand that every member of the household has his or her own ideas, and we’re actively working to combine the right ideas and solutions.

Meet the Owners of Grand Homes & Renovations

Carrie Norris

Carrie grew up in rural Warren County as the youngest of two children. She attended Carlisle and Indianola Community Schools and later graduated from Simpson College with a degree in communications and an emphasis in political science.

While attending college, she participated in music and politics. After graduating from Simpson, she worked for a political fundraising firm before beginning her career in the construction industry. She then went to work for a local commercial and residential home builder as the lead kitchen designer and director of custom cabinetry sales for eight years. In 2007, she adopted her son Jude from Vietnam. She has gained experience guiding customers through the numerous and sometimes complicated choices they face when it comes to remodeling and building. She also maintains excellent relationships with the area’s finest subcontractors and works closely with them on responsibilities and schedules.
