A Central Iowa Loft Renovation

This loft remodel created an elevated space that feels sleek and modern. With sharp lines, textured accents, and a strategic use of natural light, our team at Grand Homes and Renovations brought this homeowner’s vision to life. 

The bathroom cabinetry’s light wood color complements the fluorescent lighting illuminating the space. We elongated the space by stretching the cabinets to the top of the mirror—this complements the high ceilings featured throughout the loft. 

Remember those pops of texture we mentioned earlier? You’ll find them scattered in the home, like in this light fixture and bench found in the entryway of the house. Incorporating pieces like this creates depth in what could have been a basic space. 

The zebra furniture pieces and the kitchen light fixture are more examples of this in the open-concept living area. The cool brown shade of the kitchen cabinets pairs well with the white countertop and gray appliances. We see the gray continued in living room furniture, but with different shades. This monochromatic look gives the space a clean feel. 

Now, for one of our favorite features of this home, the indoor/outdoor fireplace surrounded by ledge stone. The indoor part of this area invites natural light in that bounces off the warm colors within. There is plenty of indoor seating space for the homeowners to enjoy reading, watching TV, or conversing. Or, they can enjoy time outside on the patio on the opposite side of the fireplace.
