A Historical Home Renovation in Des Moines, IA

At Grand Homes & Renovations, we are all about preserving the historical elements of an older home. In Des Moines, our metro is full of beautiful homes that each have their own unique character. This client of ours wanted to bring a modern, luxury touch to their older home. We made sure to highlight and emphasize the intricate details of this home in our renovation without sacrificing them. Throughout the home, we used bright white colors to make the space feel open.

From there, we include touches of teal in the cabinetry to be a focal point in each room. This bathroom was also very unique in its shape, so we accommodated that by utilizing a round center stool to create a circular walkway between the clawfoot tub and shower. One of our favorite pieces in this home is the blue shelf in the home office. Its unique shape provides visual interest and texture to the space.
