A Traditional & Bold Home Remodel in Des Moines, IA

This homeowner wanted a kitchen and bathroom remodel that was classy and modern, but included a bold touch. To make their space feel more open, we included bright white and cream colors in both the walls and cabinetry. For texture, the kitchen backsplash we chose a pattern to create a distinct visual design. From there, bold black accents were added in the kitchen island’s pendant lighting and counter-height stools. Marbled countertops help bridge that balance between those darker accent colors and softer white across the entire space.

We kept the bathroom simple and bright, using the circular black mirror as the main accent. Off of the kitchen, we also included a secret storage space and office area. With built-in custom cabinetry and a countertop, this space can act as a home office or hobby room.
