A Relaxed, European Home Renovation in Iowa

Vaulted ceilings, rounded archways, and large windows are what emphasize this home’s European style. At Grand Homes & Renovations, we utilized these European architectural elements to create a modern look. By using black and white as the main colors in our design palette, we made the interior of this space feel bright and open. With black, we highlighted structural elements such as the front door, trim along the windows, the grand staircase railing, exterior flower boxes, and more. With added metal counter height stools, this brings an industrial feel to this spacious home.

The black and white colors can also be seen utilized in the furnishing of the living room, with colorful yet muted throw pillows as accents. Did we mention the playroom/children’s work room? This cute addition was perfect for this family, having a dedicated space for kids to work, craft, play, and do other hobbies.
