Lower Level Elegance Home Remodel in Iowa

In this home’s basement, we created a recreation space to satisfy every host’s dream. Using cooler-toned colors, we elevated this basement with grays, creams, and black accents. The built-in bar is perfect to serve up drinks and cocktails while hosting a watch party, with a flat screen TV settled right above it and comfortable furniture for lounging. Our team at Grand Homes & Renovations also incorporated a glass shelf to display sports memorabilia, leaning into the family’s love for sports. We also didn’t shy away from fun prints, adding texture to the throw pillows and using a selection of art that adds a sense of comfort and variety.

One of the most unique things about this home is the wine “cellar”. We built a glass room for the family to display their curated wine collection, emphasizing on the elegance of the space. That way, it’s more accessible to offer to guests, providing a great centerpiece for conversation. Beyond the main room of this lower level, we also had a wonderful time designing a beautiful office area. With a hardwood, antique desk we selected furniture to create an open atmosphere. This gives the family even more space to show off their collection of sports souvenirs and important family photos.
